	Enjoy our new "Torah Edition" of our Shavuot magazine. It's full of
Torah ideas and inspiration.

	Shavuot 2021 will be on May 17th and 18th. Shavout is the biblical
holiday that celebrates the giving of the Torah at Mount Sinai. Traditionally, Jews gather in synagogues and read the Ten Commandments.

	The Torah itself commands us to count each day from Passover until
Shavout. This counting is known as the Counting of the Omer, and it's a
straightforward and beautiful commandment. I encourage you to do it daily.

All you need to say is: "Today is the (fill in the blank) day of the Omer," and
voila, you've done a biblical commandment!
	Torah study, of course, is a perfect way to prepare ourselves for this holiday.

That's why Chabad will be offering Torah classes to help our community prepare for receiving the Torah.

	The Torah is not only our story and laws, but it's also a Divine life force that can transform our lives and the world around us.

		Wishing you a happy and healthy Shavuot, and may we receive the Torah with joy and internalize its teachings!

synagogues) with flowers and sweetsmelling
plants in advance of Shavuot.
The Midrash tells us that the small
mountain sprouted beautiful flowers
to provide the perfect setting for the
giving of the Torah. The branches also
remind us that Shavuot is the time
when judgment is rendered regarding
the fruits of the field.
