First day text

plants in advance of Shavuot.
The Midrash tells us that the small
mountain sprouted beautiful flowers
to provide the perfect setting for the
giving of the Torah. The branches also
remind us that Shavuot is the time
when judgment is rendered regarding
the fruits of the field.
